Surge Protection
Slope Electric Cooperative offers a variety of surge protection equipment to protect the expensive electronics and appliances in your house or place of business. The meter socket is used at the pole to provide the first line of defense against power surges caused by lightning and other damaging circumstances. The meter socket is owned by the cooperative and leased to the customer for $5 a month. The lease fee will be added to your monthly bill. A one-time installation fee of $20 will also apply.
